Volunteer for the Wild: Tree Planting Support
We are seeking volunteers to help protect recently planted trees at Cassville Bluffs State Natural Area. The task of the day will be to place protective tubes and stakes around the newly planted saplings.
Advance registration is required so we can manage the number of cars and participants and keep this event safe for all. Social distancing will be practiced to prevent the spread of COVID-19. SIGN-UP CLOSES AT 5 PM TODAY (Friday 4/9/21).
We can park up to 18 cars, but you may bring 1-2 guest volunteers from your household or "pod." If you plan to bring a car, please sign up below. If you plan to bring additional volunteers in your car (household or pod members), please also contact restoration coordinator Siena Muehlfeld to let her know how many will be in your vehicle (including yourself) and their names. If you are carpooling with a volunteer who is driving, it's not necessary to sign up below. One sign-up per vehicle is all we need for this volunteer day.
Volunteers should bring: mask, safety glasses, work gloves, hammer or mallet for pounding in stakes, hat, bag lunch, plenty of water & snacks, weather-appropriate field clothes, sturdy comfortable footwear, bug spray (it’s tick season), sunscreen
