Mississippi Valley Conservancy announces that it has received a grant from the Crawford County Community Funds Fall 2022 Grant Cycle of the Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin, Inc. to support their project entitled Kickapoo Caverns Interpretive Center.

The interpretive center replaces the gift shop that was once located in the small building at the entrance to the cave. With input and support from the DNR's Wisconsin Bat Program and UWL's Mississippi Valley Archaeology Center, the Conservancy has installed informative displays that feature the history, geology, and wildlife of the cave. The new displays enhance the learn experience of visitors to the cave during scheduled events.
