Caroling for Conservation

December 7, 2019
10:00 a.m.–11:30 a.m.
Location
Mathy Quarry, La Crosse Blufflands North

Both walking and singing have multiple health benefits, and you can enjoy both while getting into the holiday spirit with a “Caroling for Conservation” hike! Singing will be led by the Special Export Quartet, featuring members Lee Rasch, Roger Christians, Charlie George, and Gary Buxengard, as the group stops at intervals along the hike loop to appreciate the peace and beauty of the La Crosse Blufflands.

Meet-up for the hike will be at the Cty Rd FA trailhead for the Quarry Trail at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 7, 2019. The hike will loop around an old quarry where much wildlife habitat restoration is underway. The “Caroling for Conservation” hike is one of Mississippi Valley Conservancy’s 2019 “Linked to the Land” outdoor experiences on the 27 nature preserves we protect, thanks to member support, for wildlife habitat, scenic beauty, education, and recreation in the Driftless Area.

Registration is required for this free event.
