CLOSED: Volunteer For the Wild at Sugar Creek Bluff

May 16, 2020
9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
Location
Sugar Creek Bluff State Natural Area, Ferryville, WI

REGISTRATION FULL.

Welcome back spring by getting outside and helping to restore wildlife habitat at Sugar Creek Bluff State Natural Area! We'll be restoring the lush forests of Sugar Creek Bluff by pulling and bagging invasive garlic mustard.

Advance registration is REQUIRED. Please DO NOT show up unless you have pre-registered.

To ensure health and safety for all during the time of COVID-19, we have modified the plan for this volunteer activity. Registration will be limited to 6 volunteers who will be accompanied by land manager Levi Plath and one other experienced crew member for a 3-hour session of pulling garlic mustard. All volunteers must bring their own garbage bag(s) and work gloves for collecting the garlic mustard. At the end of the session, volunteers will leave the filled bags of garlic mustard by the MVC truck for Levi to haul away (unless they want to take some home to eat!). Social distancing and other safety protocol will be practiced.

Please be prepared for the weather, as this is a rain or shine event. Wear long pants, long sleeves, and close toed shoes as we will be walking off trail.

With questions, contact Land Manager Levi Plath with an email or call him at 608-794-3606 ext. 5.
