Firebreak Construction Work Party - Tunnelville Cliffs, Vernon Co.
Over the river and through the woods, to Tunnelville Cliffs we go! The team knows the way, to make it a day, to foster nature to grow. Happy Thanksgiving! Come outside and join us at Tunnelville Cliffs State Natural Area for a day of prescribed fire preparation. We will be preparing our prescribed fire units for upcoming burns in the winter and spring!
All skill levels are welcome – dress appropriately for the weather, bring a water bottle, sturdy footwear. long pants and a long-sleeved shirt to protect from the parsnip. Events may involve full body movement on uneven ground and sometimes steep slopes. Expert instruction, protective gear, tools, and snacks will be provided. Together, we can make a big difference in a short amount of time!
